Warranty Terms & Conditions

1. Brisbane Auto Recyclers Pty Ltd T/as Brisbane 4WD & Commercial Recyclers, hereafter stated as ‘B.A.R. P/L.’ offers up to a 6 Month/20,000km parts and labour warranty on mechanical items, from invoice date, limited to the value of the purchase price of such invoiced items. 
2. B.A.R. P/L will supply parts required to rectify claims and reserves the right for used/recycled parts to be utilised to effect such authorised repairs. authorised
3. Warranty void if parts are tampered with or in any way dismantled without written consent from B.A.R. P/L. 
4. Unwanted goods must be returned within 14 days of the invoice date (freight pre-paid by the purchaser) for a full purchase price refund. Goods returned after 14 days will be subject to a 15% handling fee. Returns not accepted after 30 days. 
5. Rebuilt and new parts cannot be returned once they have been used. Any acceptance of return of these goods will be at the discretion of B.A.R. P/L. 
6. B.A.R. P/L cannot accept the return of special order items or ‘cut-off’ body sections. 
7. When purchasing used/recycled parts the customer must accept that there is always the possibility that the part may be worn more than considered satisfactory. This is a risk, which the customer must accept in order to obtain a substantial saving over the cost of new goods. B.A.R. P/L will not be responsible for any consequential loss, damage, down time or loss of income because of failure of any part(s) supplied. 
8. Return of goods subject to authorised warranty claims will be at B.A.R. P/L’s expense and by the freight company nominated by B.A.R. P/L. 
9. It is the customer’s responsibility to supply the correct vehicle information with regards to Make, Model, Month and Year of Build and Body Type etc to ensure the correct part(s) are supplied. B.A.R. P/L will not be responsible for freight charges where the purchaser supplies insufficient and/or incorrect information. 

10.  Warranty form(s) supplied with the invoice must be completed in full and returned to B.A.R. P/L within 14 days of invoice date. Failure to complete and return the warranty form may result in the denial of any future claim. 

11.  Labour costs will not be reimbursed unless a written Repair Authorisation Number (‘R.A.N’) is obtained from B.A.R. P/L. 

12.  Warranty will be void and no claim recognised where failure has occurred due to or caused by: 

• Overheating or heat tab missing from item. 
• Incorrect, or lack of, sufficient oils and/or lubricants 
• Failure to carry out proper scheduled maintenance 
• Improper installation and/or application 
• Overloading, accidents, negligence, misuse 
• Unauthorised repairs, alterations, modifications or dismantling 

13.  Engines are sold as ‘long bare’ and as such external accessories, if/where fitted are not covered by warranty and may not be suitable for your application. Please inspect all items prior to installation.  

14.  B.A.R. P/L reserves the right, in the event of a warranty claim being declined, to recover any costs involved in inspections, reports, repairs and freight charges. 

15.  All claims must be accompanied by this original, or copy of, this official receipt. A Repair Authorisation Number (R.A.N) will be provided to the customer. Costs of any repair(s) undertaken without this R.A.N. will be the responsibility of the purchaser. 

16.  Timing Belts: B.A.R. P/L recommends the replacement of the Timing Belt prior to installation. Resulting damaged caused by Timing Belt failure will not be covered by warranty. 

This warranty is given in addition to and not withstanding any rights the customer may have under State or Commonwealth Law.
